Learning and practicing your new skills in the field plays a big part in making you job-ready. Using UNB's extensive woodlands, you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge about forests, operations and engineering projects in a natural environment. Plus our long-standing relationships with the industry allow us to teach you in their production facilities and learn from their engineers and natural resource managers. What you learn inside a traditional classroom is important, but to be prepared to hit the ground running in your summer jobs and career as a Forest Engineer, you also need to gain field experience under the mentorship of our faculty and senior students
