Practicing engineering in natural environments requires special knowledge and skills. In FE, fundamental engineering design and analysis is complemented with a program of study of forested environments. Our graduates
know how engineered structures and machines impact soils, wildlife, water, and aesthetics. They are able to design solutions that incorporate environmental
considerations with the desire to provide for society’s needs.
Our program teaches students to work in diverse teams to solve real problems in a complex
world. Students acquire excellent professional
skills in problem solving, project management,
time management, and communication.
Graduates are especially suited to practice in
those fields where engineering projects and
operations have a direct impact on the environment.
