UNB forest engineering graduates are employed all across Canada by industries, governments, consulting firms and research agencies. They play essential roles in implementing and designing plans to produce forested landscapes that are sustainable and ecologically sound.
This is Charlene Johnson, a 2000 Forest Engineering graduate. During her program, Charlene had summer job placements in Atlantic Canada, British Columbia and California. After earning her Master of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering, she worked for an electric and water resource regulatory agency. Today she is an elected member of the House of Assembly of Newfoundland & Labrador, and the parliamentary secretary for the Minister of Natural Resources.
